Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how GreenCube ("GreenCube", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the GreenCube desktop application and related websites. GreenCube is operated by Edunexis SL (CIF B01816446).
1. GreenCube is local-first
GreenCube is designed to run primarily on your device. Local chats, memories, settings, downloaded models, and connected-account tokens are stored on your device unless a feature clearly requires an external service.
2. Information GreenCube may process
Depending on the features you use, GreenCube may process:
- Chat messages, prompts, and assistant responses.
- Local memories you create or allow GreenCube to save.
- Files or notes you choose to connect, import, summarize, or use.
- Settings, model choices, and provider connection status.
- Your email address and basic account details, when you sign in to activate GreenCube (see section 3).
- Purchase information handled by Stripe when you buy GreenCube.
- Search terms, only while you have Online switched on (see section 5).
- Support information you send to us, such as your email address, messages, screenshots, diagnostics, or bug reports.
3. Purchase and activation
GreenCube is sold through Stripe, which processes the payment and the checkout information under Stripe's own privacy terms. When a payment completes, the email address used at checkout is recorded as having a license.
To activate GreenCube you sign in once with a Google or Microsoft account. Sign-in and the license record are handled by Supabase, our account provider, which receives your email address and the basic profile details Google or Microsoft share at sign-in (such as your name). GreenCube checks that your email address has a license and saves the result on your device, so it does not need to check again. Your chats, files, and memories are never part of this.
4. Cloud model providers and integrations
The current version of GreenCube does not offer cloud AI models, connected accounts (such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, GitHub, Slack, or Notion), messaging agents, or automation of your computer. Its AI runs on your device. Do not provide GreenCube with third-party API keys.
5. When GreenCube uses the internet
GreenCube uses the internet to:
- Download the AI models you choose and check for app updates, from our download server (hosted by Cloudflare).
- Sign you in and check your license once (see section 3).
- Look things up on the web, only while you have Online switched on. Online starts off every time you open GreenCube. While it is on and a question needs current information, GreenCube sends search terms built from your question (and, where needed to make sense of it, the conversation it belongs to) to search engines such as DuckDuckGo, Brave, Yahoo, and Bing, and to public information services such as Wikipedia and services for prices, exchange rates, books, and research papers. It then visits the result pages to read them. Those services receive the search terms and your IP address under their own privacy terms.
With Online off, GreenCube does not look anything up on the web: chat answers come entirely from the AI on your device. Online is off every time GreenCube starts; it is only on when you switch it on.
6. How information is stored
GreenCube stores local app data on your device. This may include chat history, memories you have written, settings, and downloaded models. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and operating-system account.
GreenCube also keeps diagnostic logs on your device: which engine ran, how fast, and what failed. They are designed to leave out your conversations, though the names of files you have used can appear. Logs are never sent automatically; they reach us only if you choose to save them and send them to us, for example with a support request.
7. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide and improve GreenCube's user-facing features.
- Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues.
- Protect GreenCube and its users from abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations.
8. Sharing information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only when necessary to provide features you request, comply with law, handle security or abuse, or operate our business with service providers who process information on our behalf.
9. Data retention and deletion
Local data remains on your device until you delete it, uninstall the app, or use GreenCube controls to clear memories or conversations.
For support records or website contact emails, contact us at [email protected] to request deletion where applicable.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and GreenCube cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
GreenCube is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
The separate Mature Content setting is restricted to users who confirm that they are at least 18. Age confirmation is stored locally as an app setting; GreenCube does not ask for identity documents for this control.
12. International users
GreenCube may be used from different countries. If you contact us, buy GreenCube, or download models, that information may be processed in countries other than where you live.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how GreenCube uses personal data, we will update this page and, where required, ask for consent before using data in a new way.
